On June 19, 2009, alumni from both Les Roches and Glion gathered for their Summer 2009 reunion at the Mandarin Oriental Miami.
Ideally located on the prestigious Brickell Key, the Mandarin Oriental offered a taste of Asian serenity in exhilarating Miami. At the reunion, our alumni enjoyed beautiful bay views from the lobby lounge where they partook in an early-evening sundowner wine soiree with an Asian-inspired twist. A sumptuous assortment of vegetable crudités & cheeses was served, in addition to a delicious array of pork, shrimp and chicken dim sums, and vegetable spring rolls.
Slightly over 20 multicultural alumni attended and this constituted an equal number of both Les Roches and Glion alumni originally from the U.S., Spain, Colombia, Venezuela, India, Ecuador, Norway, China, Philippines, Brazil, Holland, and Austria.
The following alumni attended:
Les Roches: Jonathan Kracer, Priscilla Sibug, Mehernosh Jehangir, Carolina Calderon, Tina Stevens, Juan Palmada, David Mino, Francisco Rubio, Pablo Oliviera.
Glion: Xiaolu Lin, Christine Langseth, Pilar Garcia, Anne Marie Diaz, Claudia Gehring, Judith Scheepens, Jannicke Langseth, Francisco Ramos, Hugo Mirabal, David Dajani.
The reunion was organized by Jonathan Kracer, Les Roches Florida Chapter President, and by Xiaolu Lin and Priscilla Sibug, Glion and Les Roches alumni who respectively serve as the Benefits Manager and Reservations Supervisor at the Mandarin Oriental hotel.
Mr. Sebastian Beck, Educational Counselor - Central America/Florida of Glion/Les Roches, also attended in continued support of the alumni in the region.
Various alumni have expressed interest in further reunions in the months to come, so stay tuned and join us for the next one!
